Score differential = (113 ÷ Slope) × (Adjusted Score − Course Rating). The 113 is the standard slope. Your handicap index = average of best N differentials × 0.96, where N depends on rounds played (3→1, 4→2, 5→2, 6→3, 7→3, 8→4, 9→4, 10→5, …, 20→8).
